Valentina De Martini’s solo exhibition is the sixth project selected as part of the Bonocore Open Art open call.

“Animal Republic” is a series of paintings created between 2021 and 2024 by Valentina De Martini, portraying a wide range of animals — elephants, deer, gorillas, donkeys, birds, and mythical creatures — through the artist’s unique lens.

Using oil on canvas, De Martini explores the richness of nature and blends it with a touch of surrealism, bringing to life vivid hues and expressive forms that reflect the beauty and vulnerability of the animal world — a symbol of the planet’s suffering and the urgent need for its protection.
